I am trying to add a gateway, but I only have the paypal_express option and cant find any other gateway…there is no other option in the dropdown…any thoughts in how I can do this?

Currently, you can only add a PayPal express gateway to your PayPal Apps, I don’t know what other gateways you might need but do let us know
