2026 Update: Preventing Double Charges (CC & PayPal)
Changes & Current Status:
The old Funnelish method of injecting a standalone PayPal button alongside a native ClickFunnels credit card form has been deprecated. That legacy setup could occasionally result in a double charge if a customer filled out their card details and then clicked PayPal.
Funnelish has since developed its own native Checkout elements and unified Payment Gateways that make this double-charge scenario impossible.
Up-to-Date Information for Managing Payment Methods: Today, Funnelish forces users to select a single, mutually exclusive payment method at checkout, completely eliminating the risk of dual charges.
How to set up secure, multi-option checkouts:
Use the Funnelish Payment Element: When building your checkout page in Funnelish, add the standard Payment Form element.
Connect Gateways: Connect both your Stripe (for Credit Cards) and PayPal accounts in your workspace’s Payment Gateways settings.
Automatic Payment Selector: Funnelish will automatically generate a dynamic selection box on your order form (e.g., a radio button to choose either “Credit Card” OR “PayPal”). If a user selects PayPal, the credit card fields are instantly hidden and disabled, and vice versa. They cannot submit both.

Hello! This morning I had a customer input his cc info into the click funnels form, THEN he saw the paypal option so he clicked that button and paid through PayPal. This process charged him twice.
It would be great if as soon as someone clicks the PayPal option, any cc data automatically gets removed.
Thanks!
