You no longer need custom code to achieve this. Funnelish now has a native, built-in feature that makes this incredibly simple.
April 2026 Updates: Pre-Select Checkout Products (No Code Required)
To automatically add a specific product to the cart by default, you just need to adjust your product’s settings. Here is how to do it:
Open your funnel and go to the step that contains your products.
Click on the product you want to edit to open its settings pop-up.
Scroll down to the Settings section.
Simply click on the toggle for “Select by default”.
That is all it takes! The product will now automatically be pre-selected in your customer’s cart (though they can still change their selection afterwards).
Pro tip: You can combine the “Select by default” feature with the “Hide from the product list” toggle to automatically charge a hidden fee (such as a mandatory shipping fee) on every order!
