Is it normal that email/action triggers in ClickFunnels based on purchases made with the Funnelish PayPal app don’t work?

Indeed @Robbin those Funnel stage triggers are not fired by Clickfunnels for 3rd party sales instead you should set an automation at each PayPal product under Funnel > Settings > 3rd Party Membership Tracking. You can set any kind of automation for each product from there
