How to show different upsells based on selected & purchased product?

Hi everyone,

I’m currently working on a sales funnel, and I’d like to show certain customers different upsell pages depending on the product(s) they purchased during checkout.

Does anyone know how to implement this? Any advice or examples would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Hey @techtank :waving_hand:

Great question!

Conditional upsells (based on what the customer purchased) aren’t available just yet — but the good news is they’re on the roadmap and will be part of the upcoming Funnelish v2, which is packed with powerful new features :tada:

In the meantime, here are two workarounds:

1. Split Checkouts Based on Product Selection

You can structure your funnel so the customer’s product choice happens earlier, for example, on the landing page - and based on what they pick, send them to:

  • Checkout 1 (Product 1) → Upsell A
  • Checkout 2 (Product 2) → Upsell B
  • Checkout 3 (Product 3) → Upsell C

Each checkout would technically be a separate step, but it gives you full control over what upsell is shown after each.

2. Use A/B Split Testing on the Upsell Page

If you’re still exploring which upsell performs best, you can use our built-in A/B split testing to rotate different upsell pages and track which one converts better. This isn’t product-dependent, but it’s great for optimization.

Hi, Ana,

Thank you for your reply. Are you aware, would it be able with custom coding to achieve this? That it would catch what product is bought and would do a redirect after purchase?

Or just some sort of coding would help achieve that?
