Most of the tips above (compressing images, reducing scripts, etc.) still help… but today the issue goes deeper than that.
Speed now directly affects your ad performance, not just UX.
If someone clicks your TikTok/Meta ad and your page takes 3–4 seconds to load, they bounce before even seeing your offer - and the platform penalizes you for it (higher CPMs, worse traffic, lower ROAS).
What most people miss?
It’s not just about manually optimizing pages anymore, it’s about your underlying setup.
At a minimum, your page editors (Shopify, ClickFunnels, or any other you may use) should handle things like:

automatic image compression
-
lazy loading (so only the top of the page loads instantly)
If you need apps or workarounds just to achieve that… you’re already at a disadvantage.
