I f***ing love Funnelish (WARNING INSIDE ABOUT V2)

And I was stoked to see v2

But it has also completely fucked my funnels up.

You made it very clear that I could use the Legacy editor or V2 editor when I clicked “Edit” - I thought great! I am not being forced to adopt this yet! Especially as there’s likely to be bugs to be ironed out!

And it also said, if I wanted to use the legacy editor after using the v2 editor, I would have to roll back to a revision made in the legacy editor… fine.

So I check out v2 - it all seems fairly the same. I make a couple tweaks, hit save. All good.

I am spending thousands on ads to our funnel, and saw our CAC had 10x’d in the space of a few hours.

WTF?

Then I checked my phone, customer support had been hammering me with reports no one could checkout.

So after realising that anything I do in a v2 saved page, breaks the checkout button. There’s likely some javascript clash I’ve got in some of my custom code.

So I revert to a revision in the legacy editor… so I can edit it in the legacy editor… like you said.

But I can’t. The moment you open your page in a v2 editor, there is no way to edit the page in the legacy editor again. https://app-legacy.funnelish.com/ even tells you “This page can only be edited in the v2 editor”.

So now my revised (working) version of my page cannot be opened in the editor, because if I do and hit Save (despite not changing anything) - everything breaks.

So my page is frozen in time until I work out how to resolve these conflicts and bugs in the v2 editor.

OK long dumb story but the point is this:

Funnelish Team, please please please give me way more warning, way more guard rails and way more flexibility.

So many people’s business’s and livlihoods depend on your software now, and your v2 roll out has cost me thousands in lost revenue today.

I say all this with love because I love Funnelish. It’s the best funnel building software out there, and I get you are wanting to expand into ecom stores more generally.

But this is such a good product and I am worried its gunna get fucked up by trying to become another “everything” product.

The last thing I’ll say as well, I know you want to make v2 visually look different (otherwise people will wonder what IS the difference) but visually its way harder on the eyes. THe lack of contast, the use of like 20 different super light greys, its really not great. I really hope you give the option to maintain using the legacy editor - fix the permanent revision issues, or at least don’t try and improve on what was an EXTREMELY good UI.

I love you but you fucked it and I need you to unfuck it!

God speed!

Hey @apostle thanks for sharing this

I understand your frustration. When a page is saved in v2, it can’t be edited again in the legacy editor. I know this is not ideal. The team is already aware, and your feedback shows why this needs to be better.

For the checkout issue, it looks like some custom code is clashing with v2. Best way for now is to test changes in a clone first, before touching the live funnel. That way your ads and sales are safe.

And yes, your points about the design and contrast are important. I will make sure the team sees this.

Really appreciate your honest feedback and love for Funnelish

Hi @apostle !

First off, thank you so much for taking the time to share all this!

We absolutely understand how critical it is that your funnels run smoothly, especially when you’re spending big on ads and have revenue on the line.

To clarify: the goal with v2 wasn’t just to “look different.” Any visual change was a necessary step toward making the editor far more powerful, flexible, and future-proof than the legacy version. The new Funnelish v2 editor introduces:

  • New Elements → advanced components like Carousels, Repeaters for dynamic layouts, and more.
  • Data Binding → turn anything into a product selection, build fully customizable product lists, and style them exactly as you want (with Liquid support for advanced use cases).
  • Full Responsiveness → granular control per device for margins, font sizes, spacing, etc. — no more duplicating elements.
  • Multi-State Elements & Interactions → define hover/active/hidden states and create advanced behaviors without needing custom code.
  • Gateway Pools → smart payment routing that boosts approval rates, automatically retries failed payments, and directs transactions based on currency, country, or product type.

Here’s a full breakdown of v2’s capabilities.

That said, we also recognize your pain point: once a page has been saved in v2, editing in the legacy editor isn’t possible, unless you restore an older page version.

I believe the issue with the custom HTML’s crashing in v2 editor was already fixed, but if still facing issues please do reach out to our support team directly with the details and we’ll look into it.

We truly appreciate your kind words about Funnelish, and we promise, the vision for v2 is not to water things down or become everything for everyone, but to give you a much more robust platform for funnels and eCom stores that can grow with you.

Your feedback on the UI (contrast and readability) is also super valuable, and we’ll feed it back to design.

Many thanks,
Ana @ Funnelish

Thanks Ana-Maria,

Honestly it just boils down to having a way more strict and obvious warning of the irreversible action I just took on a key business asset.

I’m sure I’ll get used to the new UI, and I will just override with my own styles if I need too. I think the biggest issue is when you have rows of items, you used to have a soft blue background, now everything is white with thin black border its just harder to scan.

Onwards and upwards,

Case in point: this modal is completely misleading:

YOU CANNOT UNDO THIS BY RESTORING A REVISION FROM BEFORE THE UPGRADE
