Real payment completed, but order is still showing as Draft in Funnelish

Hi everyone,

I am having an issue with a real payment on my Funnelish checkout.

I completed a purchase with Test Mode turned off. The payment was actually charged successfully, and our finance team confirmed that the receiving account has already received the funds.

However, the order is still showing as Draft inside Funnelish. No completed order has been created in Funnelish, and the order has not been synced to Shopify either.

This does not look like a normal abandoned checkout, because the payment was actually completed.

Current situation:

  • Test Mode was turned off

  • The payment was successfully charged

  • Our finance team confirmed that the receiving account received the funds

  • The order is still showing as Draft in Funnelish

  • No completed order appears in Funnelish

  • No order appears in Shopify

At the moment, I do not have access to the payment gateway record or bank receipt screenshots because those are handled by our finance team. But internally, the payment and receipt have already been confirmed.

Has anyone experienced the same issue before?

Could this be caused by a payment callback, webhook, or API issue between the payment gateway and Funnelish?

I would appreciate it if the Funnelish team could help check the logs for this transaction.

Hey @xxandy :waving_hand:

Since this involves a real payment that was successfully charged but remained in Draft status, I would recommend reaching out to Funnelish Live Support as soon as possible.

Please provide them with as many details as you can, such as:

  • Funnel URL or funnel share link
  • Order date and approximate time
  • Customer email (if available)
  • Payment gateway used
  • Shopify store connected
  • Any transaction ID your finance team can provide

The support team can check the logs and investigate whether this is related to:

  • Payment callbacks
  • Webhooks
  • API communication
  • Order sync processing

This is not something the community can fully diagnose without access to the backend logs, so Live Support will be the fastest path to getting it resolved :+1:

Hope you get it sorted quickly! :rocket:

Same issue here, it’s been 3 days all our orders that are paid on airwallex succeds but show as “draft” on funnelish which means they are not sent over to shopify nor recorded by the pixel, this is costing us a huge amount of money and headache. Support is useless and been saying they are solving it since 3 3 days and nothing changed!

:white_check_mark: Airwallex Draft Order Issue - Fixed

Hi there!

Thanks for your post and apologies again that you ran into this.

We’ve been able to identify and confirm the root cause that would cause successful Airwallex payments to remain in Draft status inside Funnelish and released the fix . :rocket:

The root cause was related to the Airwallex reconnection process. In some cases, the gateway would appear connected successfully, but the webhook registration would fail in the background. As a result, Airwallex could process the payment correctly, but Funnelish would never receive the payment confirmation needed to finalize the order.

If you’ve been affected by this issue, please reconnect your Airwallex gateway to apply the updated connection. Once reconnected, new orders should process normally moving forward.

Best,
Belén @Funnelish

Same issue, we found dozens of orders in the last WEEKS that weren’t created on funnelish. Customers were paying and not receiving any confirmation or not even the product. Funnelish support told me they know about this bug since a couple of weeks. The best part? No one told us merchant about it lol

Hi @mgecom You’re absolutely right that communication around bugs like this have a lot of room for improvement.

For bugs that have a significant impact on revenue, order fulfillment, subscriptions, or a large number of users, we should do a better job proactively communicating what we’re aware of, what the impact is, and what actions merchants should take.

As a result, we’re reviewing our process and will be introducing more proactive action updates for high-impact incidents going forward. :blue_heart:
