We got the following email:

As a reminder, after October 18, 2024, Shopify will no longer support any post-purchase upsell apps that are not directly integrated to Shopify Checkout, which includes the app you are currently using.

Anyone solved this? What are our options?

The Shopify notice regarding post-purchase apps does not affect your Funnelish setup. Here is exactly why, along with the latest updates for 2026.

Shopify has made massive architectural changes to their checkout, but Funnelish funnels remain completely insulated.

  • What Deprecated on Shopify: Shopify has officially retired the legacy checkout.liquid architecture and old post-purchase scripts. They are forcing migrations to their new, sandboxed Checkout Extensibility. Old post-purchase upsell apps modifying the native checkout are breaking or being discontinued.

  • Why Funnelish is 100% Unaffected: Because Funnelish operates its own completely separate front-end checkout and upsell flow, Shopify’s deprecations do not impact your funnels. We simply push the final, completed order to Shopify via backend APIs for fulfillment. Your conversions and upsells keep running smoothly without missing a beat!
