Tech support is bad. Subscription support doesn't exist. What's the deal?

I have another active topic in Technical regarding PayPal not syncing rebills to Shopify via Funnelish. Even fixing webhooks and removing and reattaching the gateway does nothing. I’ve tested it.

I just don’t know where else to say this because the only other option is chat “support”. Funnelish seriously needs to get their tech support in order. Like at this point I am planning on moving off Funnelish to a different platform due to the payment processing issues, so I don’t really care about the lost PayPal subs. It is what it is.

But it’s pretty unacceptable there isn’t some kind of solution for this. Does nobody on your team know how to fix payment issues properly or use Claude Code or Codex or something to figure it out?

How is there no working fix for over 6 months in the age of vibe coding when I KNOW I am not the only person dealing with this issue. I’ve spoken to many. And some of them even have issues getting Stripe to sync.

I just get bounced around to random customer service chats, different person every single time. It’s frankly a joke.

Why should I keep using this platform if something like Checkout Champ exists and doesn’t have these problems? Why advertise or even claim that MRR works here when its completely broken and unfixable unless I want to make MYSELF a custom janky fix?

I’ve probably spoken to over 10 different people in chat support, all of which have offered up either non-working solutions, or told me they are “escalating” it to the dev team to fix. Which, maybe that happened, but it didn’t fix anything. There isn’t even a proper place to report bugs or submit tickets besides that.

And this is on top of the V2 “upgrade” breaking half of my pages and liquid on landers months ago.

Hi @jog12345 I completely hear your point.

On your original thread, I did ask for a few specific things (checkout URL + a couple of examples of recent rebills that didn’t sync, with order time / customer details), but we didn’t get those back. If you can send them over (feel free to DM me), I’ll get this checked right away.

On the actual issue, PayPal rebills are just… messier than Stripe. Stripe sends clean events, PayPal doesn’t always, especially on renewals. That said, it’s not something we consider “unfixable” but we just need those details to see exactly what’s happening in your case.

If you can share them, I’ll push this with the dev team and get you a proper answer :+1:
