This guide covers the full posting workflow in Funnelish Blogs: creating a post, writing in the editor, organizing with categories, setting up SEO, and publishing.
Create a post
-
Open your blog and scroll to the Blog posts section (or use the Blog tab).
-
Click New post.
The posts list shows each post’s status (Draft or Published), category, editor, and last update, with filters for All, Draft, and Published. Use the eye icon to preview any post as your readers will see it.
Write your post
The post editor gives you everything you need for long-form content:
-
Cover image: the hero image shown at the top of the post and in post listings.
-
Title: your post’s headline, rendered by your blog post template.
-
Rich text editor: paragraph styles, fonts and sizes, colors, bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, links, quotes, code blocks, bulleted and numbered lists, alignment, and sub/superscript.
-
Inline images: drop images anywhere in the body.
-
Author and dates: the post shows its author, published date, and updated date automatically.
Your work is autosaved as you write, so nothing is lost between sessions.
Configure post settings
Open the post’s settings panel to control how it’s published:
-
Name: the post title.
-
Blog post template: which template renders this post. Most blogs use one template for everything, but you can build multiple templates and pick one per post, for example a different layout for product roundups versus tutorials. See Blog pages for how templates work.
-
Post URL and Post path: the post’s live URL. Funnelish generates a path automatically, but you should replace it with a short, keyword-rich slug (e.g.
natural-baby-creams) before publishing. -
Category: assign the post to one of your categories, or click New category to create one on the spot.
-
SEO title: the title shown in search results. It defaults to your post name, and you can override it independently.
-
SEO description: a summary of 140-156 characters with your target keywords, shown in search results. Don’t skip this. It’s what convinces searchers to click.
Publish
Click Publish changes to take the post live, or Save changes to keep it as a draft.
Published posts appear on your blog right away: on the home page, in their category page, and at their own URL, all rendered through your templates. Edits to a published post stay as draft changes until you publish them again.
Organizing with categories
Categories group related posts and give each group its own page, rendered through your Category template. They’re a natural way to build topic hubs that both readers and search engines like.
Create categories with New category in the post settings, or from the Categories button above the posts list. Keep them broad and few: five well-stocked categories work better than twenty empty ones.
