Spin the Wheel adds a gamified coupon popup to your pages: visitors enter their email or phone number, spin the wheel, and win one of your discount codes.
It’s one of the oldest tricks in the eCommerce playbook because it works on two fronts at once. A “10% OFF” that visitors won converts better than one you just handed them, and every single spin captures a lead — so your email/SMS list grows on autopilot while your coupons drive sales. No code, no extra tools.

Create your discount codes first
The wheel doesn’t create discounts itself — it hands out the ones you’ve already set up.
Go to Settings → Discounts in your funnel and create the codes you want to give away, for example a 10% off code and a free shipping code. (Full guide: Discounts.)
Wheel prizes effectively become public knowledge, so set sensible limits on the codes themselves (expiry dates, usage limits, minimum order values) in your Discounts settings.
Activate the app
Open the funnel or store where you want the wheel, go to its Apps tab, and enable Spin the Wheel.
Build your wheel slices
Under the Content tab you’ll find your wheel slices. For each slice you can:
-
Set the slice label — what visitors see on the wheel (“10% OFF”, “Free shipping”, “No luck”…).
-
Assign one of your discount codes from the dropdown.
-
Set the win chance — or flip on Distribute evenly and let Funnelish do the math. Chances must always total 100%.
-
Set how many times the slice repeats on the wheel.
-
Add new slices or delete ones you don’t need via the actions menu.
Make it yours
-
Pick from multiple wheel themes and colors.
-
Change the popup background to match your funnel’s branding.
-
Style the discount reveal page winners see the same way.
-
Double-tap any text to edit it — headlines, button labels, all of it.
Fine-tune the behavior
Under the Settings tab you can:
-
Allow or block multiple spins per visitor.
-
Auto-open the spinner on page load, with an optional delay.
-
Choose the gift button position — the floating button visitors click to reopen the wheel.
-
Pick where the wheel shows: checkouts only, landing pages only, or both.

Getting the most out of your wheel
Design the prize mix like a game, not a price list
One rare, exciting slice (“25% OFF” at a low win chance) creates the thrill that makes people play. Common small wins (“5% OFF”, “Free shipping”) make sure nearly everyone walks away with something to redeem. A wheel where every slice is the same discount is just a coupon with extra steps.
Think about where the wheel earns its keep
On landing pages, the wheel is a list-building machine: auto-open with a short delay and capture visitors who’d otherwise bounce. On checkouts, be more careful — a visitor already paying full price doesn’t need a discount, so a checkout wheel can quietly eat margin. If you show it there, keep the prizes smaller, or use it as a save for hesitant buyers rather than a default.
The lead is the real prize (yours)
Every spin adds an email or phone number to your list. Don’t let those sit idle: follow up with your email automations or SMS — a winner who never used their code is the easiest reminder email you’ll ever send.
One spin per person, usually
Blocking multiple spins keeps the game honest and your discounts scarce (uniqueness is enforced via the email address entered). Allowing re-spins can make sense for long consideration cycles or repeat-visit funnels, but expect visitors to fish for the best prize.
FAQ
Can visitors spin without entering an email or phone number?
Not currently. The email/phone entry is how the “one spin per person” setting identifies unique visitors — and it’s the lead capture that makes the wheel worth running. If you’d like a no-entry mode, add your voice in Feature requests.
