About the How-To Guides category

Practical recipes for building things in Funnelish: custom code snippets, conversion tactics, Shopify workarounds, and solutions to the problems that come up once you’re past the basics.

Documentation covers how each feature works. This category covers what you can build with them.

Most guides here started as a real question from someone running a store: how do I show variants in the order summary, how do I hide a sticky CTA over a specific section, how do I get UTMs through Shopify checkout. The answers tend to involve a snippet of JavaScript, a setting used in a way the docs don’t spell out, or a layout decision that lifts conversion. They’re written to be copied and adapted, not just read.

Where else to look

  • Documentation: the official reference for how Funnelish features work, from funnels and payments to the blog builder.

  • Templates: complete funnels you can import and adapt.

  • Ask the community: for questions that don’t have a guide yet. Good answers there often become guides here.

Contributing a guide

If you’ve solved something in your own funnel, post it. The guides people find most useful follow a simple shape:

  • A title that matches how someone would search for the problem. “Hide a sticky CTA over the footer” beats “My CTA fix”.

  • The problem stated in a sentence or two, so readers know within seconds whether it applies to them.

  • The steps or the code, in a code block, with a note on where it goes (page settings, custom code, an element’s advanced tab).

  • What to change if someone’s setup differs slightly: class names, product IDs, selectors.

Screenshots help. Tags help more, since they’re how people find related guides later.

:light_bulb: Custom code in this category is shared by the community and by our team as-is. Test on a draft page before pushing to a live funnel, and re-test after major changes to your page.
